Synopsis:
Melanie Kincaid is a trust-fund baby with a knack for sassy comebacks and unnecessarily complicating her privileged life. So, of course, she would have to fall in love with a man she can't have.
Jameson Hayes is a NYC firefighter for Manhattan’s oldest ladder company. He has big shoes to fill and a city to protect. He’s strong, sexy, and not looking for the complications Melanie brings. But he can't stay away from her either. The attraction between them is immediate, and the pull is crazy powerful. But she's only home for the summer and long-distance relationships never work.
Unfortunately, Melanie’s beauty and smart mouth are a lethal combination and Jameson isn't the only Hayes who's interested. As if his brother isn't enough to compete with, now the city's most famous arsonist wants to claim her as his next prize. Jameson can't stand to watch Melanie get hurt and she can't seem to keep herself out of trouble.

My Thoughts:
“Lust at first sight is the absolute worst because it burns the hottest, lasts the shortest, and hurts the most.”
Fall for Me was a hidden gem I found one day in one of my new book search and almost passed on it because I had not heard of JC Emery, and I am so glad I didn’t.
When the story begins we learn right away that Melanie comes from money and I had assumed she was out of college, so it was a surprise to hear after her first encounter with Jameson that she was in college. It was surprising because Melanie had maturity to her that I have not seen in a while in many new adult books, which was refreshing.
Another aspect I enjoyed in this story was dynamic between all the characters in story; I also got a laugh of all of the names of the Hayes siblings and the reason behind it. ( I seem to have been reading a lot of stories where families are not getting along.)
This story had a little bit of everything and helped me get out of my book slump – a little bit of romance, some comedy, as well as suspense.
I look forward to the next book in this series, and hope you don’t pass up on this hidden gem.
If you are looking for a funny and sweet romance story with some suspense mixed in – than this book is for you.
