Synopsis:
Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon’s moved to New York City and is looking for excitement and passion without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night’s fun. But the manner—and speed—with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup and into her Beautiful Stranger.
The whole city knows that Max Stella loves women, not that he’s ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad boy charm, it’s not until Sara—and the wild photos she lets him take of her—that he starts wondering if there’s someone for him outside of the bedroom.
Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private.

My Thoughts:
“If a woman wanted a man to think of her constantly, she should tell him he could only have her once a wee and bam - concentration blown.”In preparation for Beautiful Beloved coming out last month, I decided to listen to Beautiful Stranger (again!) which is narrated by Grace Grant and Jonathan Cole. I have read all books in this series (multiple times), and I have go back and forth on who is my favorite Beautiful couple. What I love about Max and Sara is their relationship began with a sexual escape in a night club and it grew into a relationship that neither of them saw coming. Sara was coming out a bad relationship and was looking for some wild and uninhibited, and she found that with Max. I loved the direction Christina Lauren took Max and Sara’s relationship because as a reader, we got to live vicariously through Max and Sara. (I may never look at the New York Public Library the same again!)
I felt Grace Grant and Jonathan Cole took this story to a whole new level with their narration. Their narration really brought the characters to life; especially have a male and female narrator reading each POV. (You would not think it is a big deal, but it is!) Jonathan did a wonderful job capturing the essence of Max with his accent and inflections. Grace also did a wonderful job recreating what I had envisioned as Sara with her tone and inflections.
