             Synopsis:

There are many rules a priest can't break.

A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God.
I've always been good at following rules.

Until she came.

My name is Tyler Anselm Bell. I'm twenty-nine years old. Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again.

I am a priest and this is my confession.

My Thoughts:

“If this was what love was, then I didn’t know how anyone could bear the weight of it.”

When Priest first came out everyone was raving about it - yet I was hesitant to read it. Not because it talks about a taboo topic, but because I was afraid it was going to be too similar to another series that features a priest (points if you know which one I am referring to.) I am so glad I put my hesitation aside and read this book – it definitely was not like the other series nor did I find myself comparing the two, because they were no way alike.

I will put it out there – damn can Ms. Simone write some HOT sex scenes. Never in a million years would you expect a priest to have such a dirty talking mouth. Going into this book, I knew where were going to be some hot sex scenes, and one of my fears is that these scenes would take away from the story. Thankfully, it didn’t. We get to learn about Poppy and her struggles as well as Father Bell’s struggles and no way did the sex scenes take away from the story.

Ms. Simone also did a remarkable job showing us and having the reader feel the emotions that Father Bell goes through as he struggles with his love for the church and the growing love he has for Poppy.

If you are looking for an emotional, sensual, and erotic read – then this book is for you.
