Lexi Blake has done it again with another great sexy, sassy, and adventurous book in the Masters and Mercenaries series. Ms. Blake has a special talent where she weaves a BDSM story into a story that is full of mystery and intrigue that keep you on the edge of the seat with some entertaining one liners (Got to love Big Tag!).
Another thing I appreciate with Ms. Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series is that there are secondary characters she introduces in each of the stories and you want to know more about them, but their story may not warrant a full book. So she has taken to writing novellas for these characters as well as keeping us up to date on Taggart & McKay Crew, which I love – Thank you Ms. Blake!
Mitchell and Laurel story was an interesting story because you think it is going to be about a couple that has a strong attraction to each other and how they learn to be a couple given their circumstances, but it is so much more. It is about all the elements of a BDSM relationship and how Mitchell & Laurel need to learn to apply to their relationship outside of the D/s relationship.
While some may not appreciate this story as much as I did because there wasn’t many D/s scenes, it really told a story of how a couple learn to make a D/s relationship work in and out of the bedroom.
If you are looking for a quick BDSM read with a solid story – then this book is for you.
